This is a composite photograph from 6 pieces. They were taken between 2014-2017. These photos were taken from places I’ve traveled to while communicating with friends and pieces from the internet. I consider these are the sources that I learned and grew from the most.
By growing, I believe that human minds grow beautiful roots instead of having a reflection like an ice mountain.
The whole process represents growth as well. The cyanotype was transformed from a digital print and toned by pouring coffee over it. I then applied watercolor paint at the end.
This piece was exhibited at The Hokin Gallery for “24st Annual Hokin Honors” exhibition in 2017, and was awarded the Visitor’s Choice Award.
